Lost iPhoto library

Hi

Hope someone can help me with this. When I open iPhoto my pics are all there as before. However, they don't seem to be in my Picture Library. Not according to Finder. I have been copying my library from my hard drive to an external drive so is it possible that my iPhoto program is somehow now using that as it's primary library?

Any help appreciated.

Your question is unclear

1 - direct entry into the iPhoto library via the findr is not supported and should never be done - there is no reason to do that

2 - if your photos are in iPhoto then they are properly in your iPhoto library and you access the using the supported methods - see the User top on this

3 - by default the iPhoto library is in your pictures folder

4 - to tell iPhoto where the library you wnat it to use is depress the option key, launch iPhoto and use the resulting select library window to select a library
