Movies appearing twice in itunes library

Very recently, many of the movies I've purchased from iTunes store now show twice in my iTunes library. If I delete them (but keep the files) to re-add them, the movie covers do not disappear, but simply get the iCloud symbol next to them... and are still shown twice.


I'm not sure what's causing this, but often one movie when you highlight it shows all of the movie details, and the other shows nothing but an iTunes Extra button.


This is annoying as it's twice as many icons to scroll through (you can no longer resize them as you used to be able to), and the number of movies reported at the bottom of the screen is also incorrect.


Is there a fix for this?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3), 3.4HHz Intel i7, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM
