Switch libraries in itunes

So now that Apple has sent a new "improved" version of itunes, how do I switch between libraries on the same computer?

I don't want all the same music my son does and since we share a computer and he's young enough that we also share the id, I don't want to set up two separate accounts.

I used to be able to press shift a few times, then choose a library. That doesn't appear to work any more.

(I use Windows on a pc, btw. Please don't answer with "get a Mac" - I don't want one).

Hello maryrca,

If you keep the Shift key held down while iTunes opens, you should get the 'Choose library' dialog.

Shift or Option key does not work like described.

I just imported iTunes library from other computer that I will stop using. How difficult can it be to get that library working with the new Mac??

You have to press and and hold shift (Win) or option (Mac) as you click or immediately after clicking the icon that launches iTunes, and keep holding until you get a dialog that asks you to choose or create a library.
