If you click on a bad link in Safari on iPhone

Hi everyone, okay, I know everyone says that iPhones can't get viruses, but I did click on bad links in the Safari app, and I was wondering what information could they get? Like can they get my phone number, contacts, etc.?? Just kinda freaking out about this 😟

Also, I called the Apple store to see if they could check if my phone was alright, and they did a background scan.. How can the Apple store do a background scan on my phone? I don't get it..

They can get what browser you are using and your location.

They might put a browser cookie too.

If your iPhone is not hacked/jailbroken you are safe.

You can clear the browser cache here:

Settings > Safari >

Accept Cookies > Never or From visited

Clear History

Clear Cookies and Data

Thank you ckuan! Yeah I did that, the settings and never accepting cookie thing, lol but thank you 🙂 But that's not a big deal if they can get my browser or my location, is it? I don't think anyone would do anything with that.. would they?
