Siri doesn't ask me when I want to be reminded

This is tragic. I allowed myself to become dependent on Siri, and now she doesn't work for me at all. I have to get all of my info into my initial request, phrased correctly, and she has to understand every word perfectly. Neither of us is that reliable. I've had to stop using her completely and go back to manual entry of reminders.

Please fix this apple. I miss Siri.

Hi @Inkholder, I've been able to break down the Siri request into parts, avoiding the need to state the whole request in one go (at least for reminders, which is what I use Siri for a lot). If Siri misunderstands I wait for the message to be played back to me then say, 'Change the title'.Siri says, "OK, just tell me what you want to be reminded of". I repeat the request and usually manage to say the offending word or phrase in a way that is understood. For adding a time, when Siri doesn't ask for a time, I'll then say 'Change the time'. Siri says, "What time would you like to be reminded?" and we're in business. It might also work if you say 'Add a time'- haven't tried that. Hope that helps. Cheers.

I have the same problem - and I appreciate the suggestions around the problem, but I would prefer to have the feature work as it originally did because it was very useful. Any answers from Apple?

Thanks for this tip. While it's still annoying that Siri doesn't respond the way she used to, I appreciate -- as a (hopefully) temporary workaround -- knowing that I can say, "Change the time" to get her to ask, "What time...?"

That, at least, is easier than forming a lengthy, (sometimes) awkward, initial query that includes all pertinent info.

I'm having the same problem. Siri used to ask "what time would you like to be reminded". That's stopped in the last few days. Please bring it back.

Just include the time to be reminded when you first set the reminder.

"Remind me to take out the trash tomorrow at 9AM".

It'll be quicker anyway.

Well if Chris CA say "Remind me to take out the trash tomorrow at 9AM", it will create exactly "Remind me to take out the trash tomorrow at 9AM", thats it.

Heres how to bypass the problem, after siri said "shall I created?", just pretend that she ask the "when" question. Then you just simply say the time you need e.g. "At 11am", then she will stamp the time and you can happily confirm it. Works for me.

Apple, please fix this!!!

I can happily confirm it works exactly as I stated.

Mine creates a reminder at 9AM.

The reminder is "Take out the trash".

Why?

I have been using the work-around (THANK YOU WHOEVER CAME UP WITH IT!) and saying "change the time", to prompt siri to say "when would you like me to remind you?" but this AM, siri asked me "when..." all on her own, after I said "remind me to.....".

Unfortunately, this only happened once --- when I tried to get her to do it again, she didn't. But maybe a glimmer of hope. Dare we be believe that they are working on a fix....?

It s'ucks that no one has a real answer other than it might be an error and try to turn off your phone. Obviously enough people are complaining that it's no longer working the way it used to. It can't be all of our phones malfunctioning at the exact same time.

When I'm multi tasking I used to ask siri to remind me to do everything and she'd ask me what time, now it just gets added to a reminder list that I don't get reminded about because she stopped asking when I need the reminder set for.

Obviously there are other ways to set reminders in Siri but many of us were thrilled with the way it USED to work just weeks ago. I've had my iPhone 5 for 6 months and this feature worked just like that every time until a few weeks ago. Now setting reminders takes extra steps making Siri a pain in the a.s.s. rather than the helper it used to be.
