Siri doesn't ask me when I want to be reminded

I used to be able to ask Siri to remind me to do something then she would ask when I wanted to be reminded. The poblem is now she just creates a reminder with no time and does not ask me when I want to reminded. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

iPad, iOS 6.1.3

Am SO glad I found this thread!

Thought I was losing my mind when I'd ask Siri to remind me to pay a bill and she didn't ask when I wanted to be reminded. Something she had always done in the past - but stopped within the last week or so.

Was about to fire Siri, but will hold off thanks to the work-around posted here.

Much appreciated!

C'mon Apple just like introducing a macbook air with a lighted keyboard then the second version you remove it....

what is going on with Siri? It no longer asks when I'd like to be reminded. What in the heck is going on. I now have to select the reminder and turn on when I'd like to be reminded!? This is not good for hands free driving! As you can see many others and myself depend on this so we can be safer drivers and abide by not interfacing with our phones manually while driving. When are you going to fix this?

ChrisCA, you keep saying it's simpler to just state the date and time when you state the reminder topic, all in one breath, and indeed it is but sometimes one needs a minute to figure out the best time to be reminded. Maybe not with your garbage example, but the time I am most likely to use Siri to set reminders is at 2am when I'm awoken from sleep by a work call. It's very likely in this scenario that I might need an extra second to think of when I want/need the reminder, or that I might forget to set a time entirely. What good is a reminder if it's sitting in a list I might forget to check? Siri took a step back on this one.

Okay, but Siri no longer seems to ask when to remind you.

So you have a choice..

  • Tell Siri to set a reminder at a certain time
  • Tell Siri to remind you then again tell Siri what time you want the reminder set for
  • Tell Siri to remind, then you open the reminder and set the time yourself
  • Not use Siri and enter the reminder yourself
