Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

When I want to set up a new mail account, Mail always uses one of my contact's name and email as default value. How can I change that?

When I want to set up a new mail account in Mail.....the mail software always uses one of my conatcts as default value.


It is annoying. How can I change the defualt value to my name and email address permenantly?

If you are having issues setting up a new mail account, you may find the following article helpful:

Also, if you find that Mail isn't using the correct contact from your address book, you may have to tell it which contact is "yours". In Contacts, under the Cards menu, is an entry called "Make this My Card".
