Itunes 11 crashes when starting Store

Wow, after about 2 days with identical issues (including not accessing iTunes Match) and about 20 crashes, your solution worked like a dream. For anybody else having this problem, try this solution before: closing your firewall, opening ports, don't even bother to run the iTunes diagnostics (as these will run correctly).

Perfect. I don't even know what kind of display adapter I have, but just adding the environment variable did the trick on a Windows 8 64bit

Just try to open iTuens as Adminstrar, that works for me.

It worked for me too. After 2 months of crashing iTunes every time it went to the store. Rolled back display driver and it's fixed. Fantastic result.

I have an HP EliteBook 2570p with Intel HD4000 (driver version 9.18.10.3006) and iTunes kept on crashing when I tried to access the iTunes stroes, but adding that extra path has solved the problem.
