Storage space Major issue! - MacBook Pro 15" Retina Mid-2012

Hello,

I've had my MacBook Pro Retina for just a little over a year now, and i've just come across an issue that was never present before, when I delete items, the full storage capacity isn't restored. When I delete a 1.29GB movie for example, it gives me only 0.3GB back. This is making me very nervous, any more details you need to assist me in solving i'll be happy to provide if asked to do so in the comments, I'd really like this fixed so I can get back to my work.

If your hard drive is over 85% full, frequently the swap file creation gets out of whack. Also remove any system utilities that weren't installed by Apple.

Select the icon of your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you renamed it) in the sidebar of a Finder window, and open the Info window. How much space is Available? Specify gigabytes (GB) or megabytes (MB).

Oh I see! It says i've got 122.28GB free, what should I do to fix this so it displays on the system information window?

You don't need to fix it. Nothing is wrong. The condition is completely normal, as I already pointed out.

I don't want to seem overdramatic, but in system information the amount of free space is increasing in small increments over time, is this normal for a situation like this, and also, will it ever fix itself? I really appreciate your help!
