how do you test an Ipad 3 battery with meter

How do you test the batteries in the Ipad 3 with a meter. Not sure which contact point to touch with meter leads?

Daughter (8 years old) dropped her pad and cracked the glass screen. I replaced the front and back outer case due to her dropping it and the back case was dented on the corner. Did not want the new glass to break once it was installed so I replaced all of it (front and back case) Ipad worked great for about 2 weeks then just stopped working (will not come on, will not charge, nothing happens) plugged her sisters Ipad into the same cord and it charges and everything works. So I know its not the cord.

*8year old did say it was getting hotter then before once I replaced the case. Was wondering how to test batteries. I feel they may have over heated and now are no good.

No warranty on the ipad since she dropped it, and i took it apart to replaced the case. Was not hard to do either.

Not sure of the operating version. She got it last christmas from santa.

iPad, iOS 6

The iPad is not user serviceable and the fact that you have opened up the iPad would have voided the warranty if the dropping had not alraedy voided it

However you have also voided your option to exchange for an out of warranty exchange unit and Apple will not offer any assistance what so ever on that device

There is no way to "put a meter" on the battery

You have also discovered why the iPad is not user serviceable Apple do not repair faulty iPads they exchange and all refurbishment is carried out in the original factories in China

Sorry
