how do I bypass invalid email when updating apps

I have an invalid email address connected with my apps due to a typo.

These are non exisitent email connections which for some reason went through when I purchased the apps online.

Also for some reason this incorrect email address is now connected to updating icloud app too. Such as icloud updates and email updates.

These incorrect email addresses do not exist, so a verification that should be sent to my icloud account won't work.

Question: How did itunes and icloud accept this in the first place? And how can this be fixed?

Thanks in advance,

Judy

Unable to do so because apple message says that it will send an email verification to the non existent email which cannot be connected and verified. This email doesn't exist because of a typo so no connection can be made.

The typo is located after the '@'. Example... abc@homail.com. The typo is 'm'. This is an example only.

Hope this makes sense.

It does and on the same page there is an edit button next to mistyped email.

I am not talking about apps, since that you can not fix. They will be associated with that id until Apple finds a way to change it on their server/software/embedded authentication level and they do not have way yet.

I am talking about changing that apple id to any verifiable email address, so you can use it. You need to either edit your existing or create new apple id and choice is yours. Once you misspelled it, account is created and exists.

Thanks. That's the answer I needed. But how did the purchase from the App Store go through with an unverified email address?

Was this a glitch?

NO IDEA. If you are courious you can try to call Apple and ask.

The app I purchased was $ 49.99 ( Motion ) and I'm no longer able to access updates.

Is there any way that this could be corrected?

Thanks for your quick responses.

Judy

You can still update it as long as you change your apple id to the one you can verify and have correct password. The app still belongs to you, you just need to correct verification problem. If there are going to be some changes or problems in the future, you have no one else to blame. It does not matter if it was glitch, if you look at that from Apple's point of view, they will allow you to create account with anything you want. If you want - take your time and read Itunes store terms of service. If I have ever seen anything as close to slavery...

iTUNES STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS - Apple

Just tell me where else do you see - "all purchases are final"?
