Volume does not meet requirements for this update

I have a 450 G4 with 10 GB and 80 GB hard drives running 10.2
Trying to install the 10.2.8 update. When trying to select a drive for
the install which it says needs 172 MB of free space I get this message
regardless of which drive I try to choose. "You cannot install this
software on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements
for this update. The 10 gig has 2.6 GB of free space, the 80 has 66 GB.

Any suggestions?

G4, Mac OS X (10.2.x)

Two things:

1. Are you using the Combo Updater?

2. Did you repair the hard drive and permissions prior to installing the update?

OK, then are you using the correct Combo Updater? Use this one unless you have 10.2.6 or 10.2.7 installed, then use this one.

If the name of the updater you downloaded is something other than MacOSXUpdateCombo10.2.8.dmg, download and install this updater; there are several Mac OS X 10.28 updaters, but only one of them will run on a Power Mac G4 which is running the client version of Mac OS X 10.2. Alternatively, use the Software Update pane of System Preferences to check for updates; it will show you the correct ones for your configuration.

Well, I thought I had downloaded the proper one. Thanks to Kappy
and Neil for directing me to the correct one. No problem.
Needed the update for the new all in one we bought. Thanks again.

Same problem as MBcad, downloaded combo, but now says "failed to mount error -95, no mountable disk found"

Hi MNOLAN:

Sounds like the file failed to download properly. I've had to download some updates three times before I got a good one. Try again, and if that doesn't work, start a new topic to get the individual attention you require.
