Same problem here. What I did to get my 2 albums that mistakenly deleted. It said purchased but I couldn't re download. So I went on my laptop. Went into iTunes. I clicked on "Store". Then on the right side of screen clicked on "Account". Then you log in. Scroll down a bit. Can remember exactly what it said but you can see where it says to manage unhide purchases or something like that. Click on "Manage". Then I saw the 2 albums the I previously couldn't download. Underneath the each album was a button to "Unhide". I clicked both albums. Then shortly after doing so. I looked on iTunes Store on my iPhone under purchases and there they were. I re downloaded and I was happy. Good Day, Sir.

Hi, I had the same problem and it was driving me crazy. I just solved it.

I had a pre-purchased album automatically download to my iPhone which I deleted as it was taking up too much space. It was then deleted from my iTunes library, was showing up as purchased in the store, but not allowing me to redownload it. It wasn't showing up anywhere in my iTunes library. I tried every suggestion listed here, with no luck.

I remembered that when I deleted the album, a little message popped up from iTunes telling me how to restore. So I tried deleting another album and the message popped up again, saying I could restore via my account information page.

I went to iTunes on my laptop, "account" on the menu bar, then "view my account"

There was an option for "hidden" purchases, next to it I clicked "Manage" and chose the option to view all hidden purchases and boom! it was there!

Hope this helps anyone else with the same frustrating problem.

I have a answer for you all. Please follow following steps

1) Go to iTunes on computer

2) Go to iTunes store and "Sign in"

3) On the right hand side by " Qick Links " under that and click " Account " and sign in again.

4) You will your account information.

5) Go down you'll see " iTunes in iCloud" and click " Hidden Purchase" and go to " Manager" to "Unhidden"

Now you can able download whatever you miss on your purchased history on your iTunes ! Hope that help.

Go to your account in iTunes. Find the iTunes in the Cloud section under your Apple ID Summary section. Find Hidden Purchases: Unhide any hidden, redownloadable Purchases and click Manage. The next page will show all your hidden albums you didn't intend hiding. ***! Click the "unhide" button and voila! You can then go back to Purchases not on my device and click the cloud arrow next to the previously "hidden" album. Who is the sadistic programmer at Apple configured this confounding puzzle and why?

I had the same problem but figured out a way around it and it worked for me. I searched for the specific song then I added the song to my wish list. Then in my wish list it had a button for the purchase price. I tapped on it. It asked if I wanted to pay for it. I said yes, it asked for my finger print or if you don't have that set up, it'll be your Apple ID password, then as it began to download a message box popped up that said to download for free tap here, (since I had already purchased it prior, of course) I tapped it, and it downloaded without additional charge.

I was having the same problem and just figured it out. Just like a lot of you, the fixes listed here didn't work for me. This is what I did:

1.) Open iTunes Store app

2.) Scroll to the bottom of the Music tab to your Apple ID

3.) Tap your Apple ID and select "View Apple ID"

4.) It will take you to your Account Settings and you'll scroll down to and select "Hidden Purchases"

5.) Select "Music" and it should all be there

6.) Select "Unhide" and it should automatically start downloading the songs.

Hope that helps!

I know this post is really old, but I actually found a solution! All you have to do is look up the song in iTunes, go to the “Songs” tab, then “buy” the song. (If you’re not in the songs tab, you won’t be able to select the song to buy.) iTunes will prompt you, saying you already own the song and offering to let you download it. Hope this helps any one who has this problem in the future!

At LAST Michael!!! An answer to why I couldn't re-downolad any of my 'purchased albums'!!!! I was trying to download them again from the 'Purchases' page where they all sat!! It kept saying that I had no albums available for redownloading.

As soon as went into the library view where they all sat but with 'unplayable' exclamation marks beside every track, I just followed the instructions you gave. Right click each album, choose 'delete from library' (don't choose 'hide' box of course) and instantly the cloud download link appears letting you redownload it. This has taken me weeks to get an answer here. THANK you so much!!!!

I had a similar frustration. Grayed out everywhere. Album showed grey and "Purchased." Songs were only available to "Play" or in the drop down, "Share on Facebook" and other such nonsense. I tried the cloud, sign in/out, blah blah blah. It turns out, it was already on my computer!

Find the folder where iTunes stores the music on your computer {...iTunes Media/Music/...). IF YOUR OFFENDED BAND/ALBUM IS SHOWING... mine was... go back to iTunes:

Top Left Corner, Click on 'File'

Click on 'Add Folder (or File) to Library'

Locate the folder you want iTunes to recognize and select it

Then in bottom right corner of the window, click 'Select Folder'
