iWeb and Mountain Lion
So here's the deal. I had a mac notebook from like, 2007. It was on its last leg so it backed up all my files on it because I was scared it was going to go belly up. The machine was so old that I couldn't run anything beyond Snow Leopard on it. My new Macbook Pro was 2 days from arriving on my doorstep when sure enough, my old one stopped working. Like, it literally died on my lap. I found out later that the hard drive was dead as a doornail and all my files were unrecoverable. Good thing I did that back up!!!!!
So my question is, I can't seem to find iweb on my new machine??!? Does it not come with Mountain Lion or has another application replaced it? Do I need to reload it from the ap store or something? Next question, I do have all the files from the website from when I backed everything up. If/when I get iweb on the new machine, how does that work with the old files? Do I need to rebuild the entire site? Or is there a way to link the old files to the new iweb once I have it on the new computer? I will die, DIE, if I have to rebuild my website. It's for my business and it took weeks to make. Its still up on the host of course, but I am going to have to make some changes to it soon and I really do not have to rebuild the whole thing just to update a few links.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
