Macbook Late 2009 - RAM Upgrade from 2 GB to 8 GB

I am trying to update my Macbook from 2 GB to 8GB and after I've installed the two 4 GB cards I get a sequence of three beeps which repeats and the computer won't boot. Can anyone lend me some advice? Is it possible the RAM I've purchased isn't compatible

Mac Book Specs

Late 2009, 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)

Here is the link the RAM I got off of Amazon:

These are good online stores for Mac compatible RAM OWC1066MhzRAM
http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/Upgrade/DDR3_Whi te
- They offer Mac tested RAM at very good prices.

Crucial Memory http://www.crucial.com/ - good place to buy RAM from all over the world. They also have an excellent memory selector that allows you to choose memory based on your computer's model

Data Memory Systems http://www.datamemorysystems.com/apple-memory.asp - another good, cheap place to buying RAM if you live in the U.S.
