I still have no idea what it was. All I know is that Adobe released a critical patch back in early February, saying that the vulnerability it fixed was being actively exploited to drop malware on Macs. They never said specifically what malware, as far as I know.

Thanks, I just found your article and was about to come back here when I saw your reply. SInce it apparently never got a name and was Firefox only I simply forgot all about it.

I suspect that it was probably something that we already know about and have described under other circumstances... like the Pintsized malware, which appeared around the same time.
