Trouble making sports highlight video

I am very new to imovie 11 movie making. I am trying to create a sports highlight video using different play clips. I want to incert an arrow in each clip in a freeze frame to isolate a certain player. I found the arrow, created a transparent background as a png file and added it to my iphoto collection. When i add the arrow using picture in picture, and i play back the entire video, the arrow only shows up in the first clip, and not all the others. If i just run my mouse across the video, it shows up in all of them. But if i hit my space bar and play it, it only shows up in the first clip. I even tried finsihing the project to file, but that didn't work either. Can any one help me??

Thanks so much for trying to help, but I figured it out. After creating a freeze frame and adding a .png arrow to each clip, the arrow and freeze frame were not showing up upon playback. But once I, finished the project, and created the video file, everything worked and showed up fine. No idea why, but i wished I had known this when I started. I spent countless hours trying to make it work.

Maybe this will help another person thats searching for an answer.
