MS PowerPoint for Mac - file open but not on display

My MS PowerPoint for Mac file is open but doesn't show on my screen. I can see it in Mission Control and it shows up in SlideShow/Presenter mode with an LCD projector, but I can't move it to the Macbook screen or work in the file. I normally have a second display but it's not connected now. Any suggestions?

Try opening Displays System Preferences, hold down Option, then click on "Detect Displays" button.

Hopefully that will cause it to forget the disconnected display and move the PPT window to the other display.

This helped me, but the Logic puzzles me.

I received the presentation from a client but couldn't see it on my laptop display until I connected a 2nd display it appeared (however very small) on the 2nd display. I viewd the preso and closed it.

Second time I opened it it was not there anymore, not on the laptop display nor the 2nd display....it's then when I use your solution.

Thanks!
