iDVD: Problems with audio in submenus

Hi,

Whenever I drag an audio file onto the audio-icon in the menu-info-screen, it sounds very distorted. I first removed the original audio-file, then dragged another file onto the audio icon. When I remove it, the original audio-file is there again.

Need help urgently, 'cause the project should be finished next week.

Thanks a lot

Hi

And the Audio file is in what format ?

I only use .aiff 16-bit 48kHz or from Audio-CD .aiff 44.1kHz

No .mp3 or other alient format - all converted to .aiff

I use Audacity (free from Internet) to do this

I most often has to adjust down the amplification - about 6db or more (in Audacity) to get it to sound OK.

Else

try - trashing iDVD pref file - as this can be the culprit to many strange errors

And also trash the iDVD cache file:

1 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your

User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.

User uploaded file

2 - launch IDVD and try again.

NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
