Logic Pro X and Nexus 2

I just purchased Nexus 2 and it arrived today through mail. Trying to install it I am running into many issues. The two pictures that I have attached are what comes up on my screen when I try to activate the plug-in in the DAW. I have installed the e-liscenser and the Nexus .dmg. So Logic is indeed recognizing Nexus and I have gone into Audio Units Manger in Logic and made sure it recognizes Nexus, which it does.

And sometimes it seems as though Nexus is about to open when I select it because nothing happens for 5 seconds but then Logic quits unexpectedly.

Is it something to do with the e-licenser?

I am running on a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and Mac OS X version 10.8.4 mountain lion.

The error msg you show, has the answer within it

The license in elincenser is not valid for Nexus 2...

Have you ran your elincenser Control Center software and added and validated your Nexus 2 license using the code provided with your nexus 2 software? (Your elincenser software will show if you have done so or not.)

Make sure Logic is not running when you do this.

Also make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest Elicenser software... fro here

And ya I didn't know how to set up the e-liscenser and drag the Nexus components into my Macintosh HD folder.

The video explains it all.

Thanks again The Art Of Sound,

Hey Nigel,

I am new to these support boards so I forget how to start a new question/thread. Also quite new to Logic Pro.

I have a problem that is most likely easily fixable.

The red bar (record punch or indicator bar) came up into my project and I cant get rid of it. I couldn't find a solution in any other threads. Wondering if you know how to get rid of this.

Much appreciated.

Hey Sven,

If you mean a narrow red bar to the very left of the Track Header.. That is actually the indicator showing you are using a Control Surface....

It will look like this... (In this case the bar is Green.... but it can be Red or other colors too)

To get rid of it simply right click on the track header and choose Hide Control Surface Bars..... from the pop up menu...

Otherwise, if it's not that... Can you post up a screenshot of what you are refering to..... As I am not sure.
