That translates into Case Sensitive, Journaled which is not what you want.  You want Extended Journaled  - Förlängd journalförd.  Having it case sensitive can cause lots of problems.  I would avoid it like the plague.

    I doubt it.

However, one more thing you can try is to download and use Find Any File to search for a couple of the missing files by file name. The thumbnail should still show the file name under it.  If there is more than one copy of a file name check the FAF search window to see where they are located within the library package.  If there's no occurrence of it in the Masters folder it's gone.

The search window will look something like this:

If you find it in the Masters folder then it's there but no getting recognized by iPhoto or iPLM (which I said at the beginning is doubtful but worth a try).

You can try using trhe demo version of   SubrosaSoft FileSalvage to see if it can find the files you're looking for before you purchase it.

Note the best and quickest recovery from this type of occurance is to restore your backup from just before it happened - if you do not have a backup you will lose your photos (actually you may have now) sooner of later - bad things do happen - you need to purchase an external hard drive 2 1/2 times the size of your main drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and start usign Time Machine ASAP to avoid future loses
