Logic pro 9 update
If I purchase on ebay a prior 9.1.7 version of Logic Pro 9, will I be able to update to the latest version (9.?.?) to make it compatible with Mountain Lion 10.8.4?
Thanks!

Yes.
Okay, thanks. Can't find any 9.x.x updates, though. Maybe the software needs to be installed before it works?
And just to make sure, I don't want the Logic Pro X, which seems to require full price again, I hear. I'm good with just the latest 9 version.
You need to install it first. Once it's installed, do a normal software update. There will be an update for Apple Pro Apps available.
Note: You cannot purchase Logic Pro 9.1.7 legally via ebay or anywhere else...
If someone is selling that version it is not a legal version and you should be aware of this fact.
You can buy the boxed set of Logic Studio 2.0 (Which includes Logic Pro 9.0) Full version (Not the upgrade version unless you have already purchased and installed Logic Studio 1.0 (which includes Logic Pro 8)) and install that and then update to 9.1.8 via software updates... but if the seller claims they are selling you Logic Pro 9 v9.1.7 then that is not legal software.... as that can only be obtained via software updates if you own the legal boxed set version... or via a download from the App Store and App Store versions cannot be legally resold.
