What custom settings in SwitchResX do I use for LG29EA93 second display monitor with 2013 MacbookPro 15" Retina?

I bought the LG 29EA93 ultra-wide screen (2560x1080) as a second monitor for my Macbook Pro 15" Retina (OSX 10.8.5), but the image on the screen looks fuzzy. I tired the settings in Display>Sytem Preferences and turned off Automatic Graphics Switching, but without luck. I then tried SwitchResX which was a bit better, but still fuzzy. Im connected using hdmi to hdmi (I tried using DP to Thunderbolt but that was worse).

The screenshot below shows my current SwitchResX settings.

My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024MB.

What I need is a valid custom setting for SwitchResX that gives me a sharp screen resolution (or any alternative solution).

Thanks.

I continued playing around with the SwitchResX settings, and swapped to the DP1.2 to Miniport cable, and got a better resolution – no more fuzzy text and edges!

Use your Macbook Pro's NVIDIA card's max resolution width. In this instance mine was 2880, and scale this resolution ratio to fit the ultra widescreen monitor (so from 2560x1080 up to 2880x1210).

Add 2880x1210 into the SwithResX custom settings and trust the Hz setting it gives you; save the settings and resart. See screenshot below for the numbers to input.

Then select the new resolution setting in System Preferences>Displays.User uploaded file
