Q: iTunes Radio stops after one song

Just downloaded 11.1 and started a new radio station. I continued adding bands while Radio played two songs from the original band. The third song played from a different band and when it was done, so was iTunes. The station just stopped with the Play control available. I clicked it and got a Nissan commercial followed by the third song (that just played). I hit skip. iTunes stopped again. I quit iTunes and relaunched. Went back to the station, hit play and got that same third song. I let it play out and it stopped again. Can't seem to do anything else.

I have 11.1 and can't find the Radio button. I looked at screen shots from Apple's website and I do not have that button available. Mine just says "Internet".

I'm having a very similar issue. Here's what happened to me:

I created a station from a band and began to add other bands. The first few songs played correctly. At a certain point though, after 7-10 bands had been added, it played to the end of the song and then the station stopped. I can sometimes get it to play again but it just replays the last song again and doesn't advance to any other songs.

I can create a new station which seems to play normal.

I'm guessing there's a bug that happens when adding a certain number of artists to your station.

This sorta helped. I cut back my station to ten artists, hit play, and it started playing a different song. Thanks!

Yeah. Just cut my number of artists back as well and it has started playing a different song as well.

that's kinda lame, though. it should be able to handle a lot of artists - just like pandora can. i'm hoping it's a temporary issue and will be resolved quickly!

I just started using the radio. Now for me it does not even play songs. Does anyone know if there is a problem?

I'm using iTunes on my mac and it would only play one song per radio station and then it won't play anymore.  It's hugely frustrating.  I can't get it to work.  It works on my iOS devices.   Even if I created my own stations, it doesn't work.  Does anyone have similar issues?

Updated to 11.1, made one station & while listening, added another.  Paused, added 3 more stations, now none work.  Deleted all, tried Beatles station.  Nothing.

I am having the same issue... I was able to listen to one or two songs on my iPhone, one on my MacBook and now I can't listen to any!

Piling on.  Having the same issue on MacBook Air.  Upgraded IOS and Radio played one song and now won't play anything.  Frustrating, feels like Microsoft.

I just downloaded the new Itunes and was excited about iRadio - but I too have the same issue.

I created one new station and it played ONE song then stopped. I tried the default stations at the top and Katy Perys station played, but none of the others - this leads me to believe the issue it not on my end. I deleted my custom station and created it again - this time it wouldnt play anything.

I tried logging out and logging back in - but it still wont work.

Back to Pandora until this gets fixed.

    Hey all,

I was having this exact same issue in iTunes on my MBP and was able to resolve it.  Apparently starting iTunes radio on an iOS device using the same Apple ID will fix the problem.

iTunes Radio on my MBP played one song and then stopped working.  I started iTunes Radio on my iPhone and all of a sudden it started working on my MBP.

Give it a try.  Hopefully it works for you as well.

Nope.  Didn't work for me.  I've been using my iPad the whole morning.  Tried my iPhone too.  Both worked but switching back to MBP, then it stopped working.  When I add stations on my MBP, I see them on my iPad.  Just can't play on the mac.

Well that wont work for me, my iPhone is an old 3 series which will not accept the new OS - so no new iTunes nor iRadio on my iPHone - just my laptop.
