iOS 7 Changes Picture Size For Wallpaper

When I set a new picture as either my home screen or lock screen wallpaper it automatically stretches it out to fit the whole screen. Does anyone know how to change this?

Try Filterstorm by Tai Shimizu for 3.99 for iPhone or iPad (I am on an iPad Mini 1024x768).

I turned on Reduced Motion and was able to size converted images.

Start with a high resolution image, mine was 3264x2448.

Scale to 1424x1068 (one recommendation I found was to make the image 1424x1424 for my iPad version running iOS7). 1424 locks the image side to side. I have lock rotation set and live in the landscape orientation.

Increasing my canvas size to 1424x1700 allowed me to raise the bottom edge of my image above the dock.

Here is the link where I got my 1424 basis if you have a device other than an iPad Mini:

Now, does anybody know how to turn off the 15% soft mask for iOS7 wallpaper?

I used a sharpening filter in Filterstorm & it helped a little (except I can see the mask).

I had to re-size the picture. This is the dimension you will need to "crop" the picture to fit right as an iphone walpaper.768x1152. this will make the picture look normal and not zoomed in.

use any app or photo editor that allows you to crop the image to this dimensions then save it in you iphone and set it as wallpaper.

bud use this website ( or any other photo editor website or app) www.picmonkey.com, upload your picture, re-size to these dimensions 768x1152 then save it in your pc, then e-mail it to yourself, then open your email in your iphone, then save the pic in your camera roll, then set as wall paper.. and whoala!! it fits right, is not zoomed in. it worked for me
