I have been using iOS 7 since the release of the GM. Overall, I love it - however with the music app, specifically with iTunes Match I am very dissapointed as the usability, for me has gone quite backwards.

Firstly, I have some artists in my collection with vast ammounts of albums (Grateful Dead, Phish, etc). With iOS 6, accessing those artist's albums was instantaneous. In iOS 7, it takes approximately 10-15 seconds from the time I tap the artist to being able to view the albums. When trying to return to the Artists tab, it will also hang for at least 10 seconds.

Second, once within the albums of a particular artist, there is no longer the alphabetical slider along the side which allows me to quickly scrub through the albums. When there are a lot of albums, scrolling manually through every album (and song) is quite tedious. I honestly can't believe how much of a step back this is. Albums no longer are listed alphabetically, now they are listed based on release date.

These issues have me wihing I coud go back to iOS 6, even though the rest of the new interface is great. I can't believe how much worse the music app is now. I can't believe no one at Apple has a music library containing artists with large discographies.

If there isn't a fix to these issues, I will have to cancel my iTunes Match subscription because it is simply too frustrating waiting for things to load and not being able to browse albums efficiently.

If anyone is aware of a fix, or is also frustrated by these issues, please let me know.

I agree... to my horror, my music was a shambles after the upgrade. There were albums that were deplicated, many missing their artwork, you can no longer delete music from the device. This is in addition to everything you mentioned above, which I also found out about when looking through my music. I'm disgusted they ruined the one thing that mattered most to me in iOS.

I have been having all sorts of trouble with match even showing up in iOS 7. The funny thing is all my content is there, but the Music app itself is stuck on this screen.

Not a big issue though as the Apple Music app has really never been that great. Just use and enjoy your music that is in iTunes match in a much better way.

I'm having the exact same problem you're having. Very irritating.

    how large is your library?

Yep having the same issue too. Frustrating apple

Exact same problem with a 22,000 ish song library. It's been sitting there for half of forever now. I've tried turning match on and off. Tried turning cellular data off. Tried turning everything off and closing everything & even power cycling the phone before turning things back on. Nothing. If I do a search, my music shows up in the search but all of the screens except radio in the music app just shows the same exact thing as your screenshot.

About 7,000. Not terribly large, but still a decent amount.

I have this problem too, but I really just want to use the included music app. I'm noticing this issue on all my iOS 7 devices... does anyone know if iTunes Match is down?

i can't get my songs in itunes match to show up in itunes ever since it was updated to 11.1 and it still wont show up on my iphone with ios 7

iPhone5 and iPad 3 both suffering from "Loading iTunes Match..." message forever.

    Can't do anything.

Personally, I think the Apple Keynotes/Events should be done on launch day so they can feel our pain and suffering.  Imagine them standing up there trying to launch the new Music app and getting stuck on this.

Pathetic.  What's worse is that the 5S and 5C come out Friday, so that's a billion more people setting up new phones and hitting the match and music and app servers.

It'll probably be a week before things start to settle down.

My 4s has songs that I deleted off iTunes years ago and I can't delete them off the phone.

This is so incredibly frustrating- why on earth would they remove the option to delete music from your phone?

Sure hope they come up with a fix for this soon!

I think it might be all of the media on icloud just being wonky today. I can't even get access to my movies that I've bought from itunes in the video app right now. Only thing that comes up is the shared librarires thing.

This has been happening to me since beta 1. I thought is was a large library issue with iOS 7, but now so own is saying they are experiencing it with 7000.

I have iTunes Match working, or at least I can see my whole library. But every track I try to download gets stuck on "processing."
