Don't do it. Keyboard is horribly slow and basically unuseable.

Wish I could go back.

Complete baloney. There are several threads suggesting a fix by resetting settings in the General panel. Almost all have reported success. I myself did not experience any slowness or sluggishness with my update.

To answer your question, yes, many millions most likely have downloaded or are trying to download ios 7. In 2.5 hours your post has gotten 1,944 views and that says something.

In the past 23.5 hours, there have been approx 1,593 posts, most dealing with ios 7 issues. Why doesn't everyone wait until some fixes are addressed by Apple?

If your ipad is working and you can hold off the updating process at least it won't be taking two days to download,

basically making it unuseable to you during that time. (There are threads here reporting this.)

It's sort of like a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory thing going on here (sort of.)

Just upgraded last night on my iPad 2. It took an hour or so. First impression: It's not as smooth as the 6.1.3. Few bugs I've encountered are:

1. Lock screen; every time I lock it, the screen seems to stay lit for a couple of milliseconds before it's finally turned off.

2. Edit photos; we can align/straighten the photos now (or has it always been there?) but aligning it took a while to register my two thumbs rotating the photo. Sometimes it won't even budge.

3. Newsstand; whenever I try to pinch the screen (four fingers) to exit the app, it's still stuck inside it. I had to push the home button to get out.

4. Exiting an app; there seems to a quite noticeable lag getting out of an app. Not much, but not as quick as 6.1.3

I don't do a lot of typing on it so I didn't experienced any lag. I also don't listen to music on the iPad, for storage reasons, but the iTunes Radio is a nice addition. And browsing feels quicker now.

Every thing else is okay, so no regrets upgrading.

Hello All

We've got 2 IPads. We upgraded one of them yesterday and since then we've found that both of them are unable to hold their connection to the router, as is my iPhone, when we tested that. So we're wary of upgrading the other iPad!

(I might try the phone though ...)

Of course, once we switch the upgraded one off, everything is fine on the other (and the phone)

I've not tested if it takes out anything else on the wifi (sonos) yet, nor if it impacts direct wired connections, like our freesat box - I'll check that later.

I assume apple will tell me to upgrade the other one, but I wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience with this before I go down that route.

Much appreciated!

If it's not too late don't install IOS7! My iPad is now slower and so difficult to read. Most changes seem to be for the sake of not for useful purpose. White on pale grey is not a visually easy look and makes iPad useless in sunshine unless you have perfect eyes. On emails Delete is now called Trash and out of 3options has been moved from left to right so I keep hitting Mark instead of delete. Small things I know but I'm telling you this to highlight what stupid and unnecessary changes they have made. All photos are now in date order so only a few per screen so finding a particular picture is so much harder -I'm no genius so never remember the date I took a photo in order to find it. Thankfully I never synced my iPad and phone so phone is still IOS 6. So I can continue to use phone old format. Will restrict iPad to games and hope someone buys me a non apple pad for Xmas! As I type now screen light grey keyboard slightly darker grey and keyboard letters finer than a hair -everything so wishy washy. When looking for something on Safari now just a small space at top of screen to type in instead of the big box in middle of screen. Like anything new I could get used to it but it's just not user friendly or visually helpful. Again if it's not too late don't install.
