keyboard lag, keyboard lag in iOS 7

Just tried this and it seemed to work - I will see over time --

Go to settings, iCloud, documents and data and turn it off. Then power off / on the phone.

Because I didn't see these suggestions and was so frustrated after I was barely able to type in the 4 digit passcode on my iPhone 4, I did a complete restore. Restored the software and then restored my phone from backup. It all worked fine after that. It just takes a while to get everything restored from backup, but I had no lag after that. And it was impossilbe to use before I restored.

I did the exact same thing (restore with iTunes). It's been working perfectly now for 24 hours.

Reset all settings only fixed the keyboard lag issue on my iphone 4s for about 24 hours or less, then lag returned.

Too many complaints; Apple needs to fix this or allow a revert to 6.x.x ios until they can address ios issues.

Some new/differences in ios 7 can be figured out easily enough and interface is different and sometimes more attractive. But a malfunction and turning smart phones into junk phones is not acceptable.

I'm reading about several fixes for the lag issues, but they all seem to be temp at best.

Reset all settings worked for me. Not temporary. iPhone 4.

I am having this same problem on my iPad 3. Slow response to typing. I will try the fix suggested, but I thought I would let people know that this is happening on an iPad 3.

I had a bit of a Lag on my 32 GB iphone 4S. I did the normal trouble shooting routine, shut down all apps in the multitasking tray, Hard Reset and Power Cycle. Still lagged a little bit, not as bad as original poster, but noticable. I turned off Update Apps in Background and it cleared up for me.

Settings => General => Background App Refresh => Turn off Background App Refresh => Tap on Background App Refresh message in Red and it was off.

In iOS 7 the background is animated (slight move during tilt). Reenter your background and scale it to allow this animation, then lag is gone!

Those having lags on iphone 4s , you can try turning off your transparency in your iphone 4s ! My iphone 4s runs smoothly all the time after did this .

How to do it :

Go to Settings , General , Accessibility , Increase Contrast , Turn it On (Green Colour)

I've got the 4S 16GB also....no problems after upgrade. Only with my girlfriends 4 8GB....key lag. Hope to solve it with what I've read here.
