Hi, I updated to IOS7 today and iTunes tells me I need to update to iTunes 11.1. When I open iTunes it tells me a new version (11.1) is available. However, when I choose to update iTunes, the program tells me it is up to date. I checked the version under File/about and I'm still on 11.0.5. Anyone else having this problem?

I had the same issue, and still do. I updated to iOS7 on my iPad directly (I guess you did too) and now I can't back it up to my computer--because I don't have iTunes 11.1.
Just go to iTunes.com and re download it again from there. It works just like you are updating your software so you don't have to delete the old one or redo playlists or anything. Just takes a little longer because you are redownloading the entire file.
I'm having the same problem on my MacBook Air. However, I was able to update iTunes to 11.1 on my iMac earlier in the day.

I go to Apple.com and try to download iTunes again and it only offers version 11.0.5.
Go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and that is the download for iTunes 11.1
Same issue for me. THAT link lists 11.0.5 as well, not 11.1. Anyone else seeing that, too??
Better yet, is there any way to get the file from some one that it did work for?
That's really weird. I double checked the link and it says 11.1 for me. If you have a mac I could dropbox you the file
Never accept or download a software up date that is not from an authorized Apple site. You don't know if any one tampered with the software if you d/l from another source such as a dropbox account.

What OS are you running? I am currently on 10.6.8 and I have a feeling I may need to update to 10.8 before I will be allowed to install iTune 11.1
I downloaded from the itunes.com website and it was 11.1.

I am running 10.8.5 - Mountain lion. I have a nearly brand new MB Pro.. I tried finding a support contact on the website for itunes but each link for the US leads to an error page saying something about it not being available in the region.
Could someone link the hyperlink for the download file for 11.1? If possible?
