Trust this Computer?

I installed iOS 7 this morning, and now with every restart of my iPad - if it is plugged into my iMac - I am asked "Trust This Computer?" I restarted 3 times, and was asked each time. Is this something that we will see every time we sync our tablets and phones?

Hi

This is also happening in my iMac. Very frustrating.

What came along with the Trust question, was intermittent charging only, device not showing up in iTunes or iPhoto. No sync working. No Device being connected to iMac.

I had installed new version of iTunes, removed some Plist files regarding iTunes, verified disk and repaired disk, restarted computer and iPhone5 (also included reset) and still same thing occurring.

So after clicking Trust many times, I ignored the message and a minute or so later iPhoto opened up. Hey presto its working and no Trust message.

Not sure if it will have any longevity, but this was my experience.

Thanks for the discussions

I have the exact same issue - just started after Yosemite I think. Anyway - my iPhone and iPad's ask he "Trust this computer" question every time I plug them in.

I have tried many thing. Only thing that seems to work for me is to re-start the iMac - restart iTunes and then it works fine.....getting very tedious to do this each time however!! Can we please get a fix for this Apple.

Maybe the USB is going to sleep after a certain period of dormancy!!

in response to JohnPaulWilliam....

1st connect the phone to the computer.

open the Search window and search for Apple iphone ...once u get a list of items in ur search list...right click the one which says Apple Iphone (with a camera icon)....Select Properties > Events. In events window Select an event make sure it says Camera connected . Below which select option Take No Action. Click Apply and then Ok

Tada!!!....and its done!!!

Apple support just deleted my post here. I can understand that, i was angry 😝

So i won't bore anyone with how unhappy and completely unwilling i am with having to install itunes to get rid of this message i see like 5 times a day. There is no room for that here.

Instead i'm gonna copy/paste another itunes solution someone already reposted for the 5th time. That way i won't get in trouble with support again

On your Windows PC, open Control Panel.

Click on “Uninstall a Program”

From that list, find Apple Mobile Device Support

Click on “Repair” and let Windows try to repair the software.

Once this is done, try rebooting your computer before plugging in your iPhone or iPad again.

The same thing is happening for me. I have worked for an Apple Specialist for the last 7 years. I am on the savvy side, and have done my due diligence. I use an Apple 30pin-USB cable. I tried resetting all settings. I ran all software updates on the iPhone and my iMac. I've run disk utility and disk warrior on my iMac and repaired permissions. I'm using the same iCloud account on both.

But here's a twist: Not only does my phone have to verify constantly that I "trust this computer," but regardless of how much I trust the dang computer, it only randomly sees my iPhone. Now, I would like to sync the devices, but most of the time it is impossible to do so.

Does anyone else have this trouble? I fear there is no solution to this after having read so many feeds regarding other people having the same issue.

Trust this Computer?
