Can't change iCloud ID

I (by complete fluke) figured this out.

Instead of:

Settings > iCloud > Delete Account *Only to be rejected by an old email you dont have access to and a password you clearly can't remember

DO THIS! Worked for me.

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > iCloud > Delete Account

*With your current Apple ID password this will shut off "find my phone," allowing you to delete the old apple ID account.

Then go to:

Settings > iCloud > and add your new apple ID.

Incredible, but this really worked after my numerous unsuccessful attempts of trying every other thing. Thank you for helping me out!

I have the same problem,i upgraded my iphone to ios 7 and problem started.

the old email are currently my rescue email,i can't change my apple id email to the old one.

then if i use the old email for email authentication,email were stated send but still there were no email in my mailbox.

and there is also a problem in my old apple id security question.

and i also have some problem with the 'find my iphone'password.

i try all the advice,nothing works.

now all my contacts are deleted and i can't change the id to a new one!

apple please solve my problem!

I had the same problem as I had changed my email for my apple id but the icloud still had my old email.

Only way round it for me was to login to my apple account and change my email back to my old email which I then had to verfiy.

Then my password worked when trying to disable find my phone.

I then deleted my icloud account ( Under settings - Icloud )

Then changed my email back to my new email account - verfiy again - then the login worked.

A lot of hassel but this seemed to work for me

I'm having the same issue, but the only problem is that I can't log into the old email account to re-verrify! That's the whole reason that I changed my AppleID in the first place. When I try to recover my password on the old Yahoo account, the back-up email is my old university email which was deleted when I graduated. Is there ANY other way to fix this without having to change back to my old email?

Thanks this honestly helped!!! Ive been struggling for days now, my i.d was my old email which I couldnt access as it happened to be my work email from my previous job... What I did was manage my apple id and change the new email back to the old email. Didnt have to verify the email, went back to icloud settings and sign out. Put the current password and thats all it took. Went back to manage my id and change the old email to the new one. Great stuff. No stressing!! Good luck all.

Yes I am so frustrated by this. I do not have access to my old email address, I already changed my id to my new address and a new password. Have you found a solution?
