How do I limit the number of emails displayed in iOS 7?

I prefer to display only 100 emails from each of my mailboxes on my apple devices, but with iOS 7 it's showing all my emails, and there doesn't seem to be an option to limit this in settings as there was previously?

Same here. But in my case I just discovered that my work IMAP email account only shows the inbox messages until 299 messages are reached. After that, it shows no new emails. And now we don't have the option to limit (or in my case, increase the limit as I was using under iOS 6) of messages shown.

This isn't working for me, since I travel a lot and cannot clean my inbox on the go. And POP is not an option - don't want to see emails as unread even after I read them on another device - and yes, POP shows all emails in my inbox.

I hope Apple heeds the cries of their faithful about the user ability to limit the number of emails on the iPhones running iOS7. They built their reputation on anticipating and solving customers problems before customers knew they had problems. Having failed to anticipate, perhaps they can now react. The email flood seems to be accelerating my battery power run-down, and I'm so frustrated.

I Agree... As said before I use an android for now but I am lookin forward to swirly hint back to an iphone. Just to make another comment on the IMAP mail issue, although not directly related to this thread's topic, I lost the ability to push emails to my IMAP account, I can only have the fetch option now, and the faster it can go is every 15 minutes, which is not to often for me... Is there a fix for that?

Due to this BIG "issue" I'm lossing 2.0 gb ( email data usage ) of my 13.3 gb iphone 5 capacity !!! I should be able to administrate the capacity of the phone as I want !!! Apple must return this feature !!! Activating the limit the incoming emails to 50 my emails date will not exceed 400 mb !!! Thanks apple for my uneed emails and my capacity lost !!!!!

It is highly unlikely you are losing 2.0GB space due to headers.

Unless you're clicking in every message to actually download the body, or you're spam central administrator.

Try to check your before and after usage logs.

In the likely event you don't have a before record, do a simple comparison with your desktop mailbox, at the same message count.

You'll find yourself complaining that iOS 7 doesn't download all your messages.
