iOS 7 forgot restrictions passcode

I have updated to iOS 7. My location services have been disabled and findmyiphone is turned on but with restricted access. However I have forgotten my restrictions pass code so am unable to turn on location services. If I try and restore iphone via iTunes it tells me I have to turn off findmyiphone first. But I can't do this because I have forgotten this restriction passcode.

Totally stuck now. Seems there is no way to reset my phone.

Any ideas?

I am so desperate to get this fixed! I can't erase all of my work and information!! My ipad has a passcode lock on the front screen, and i forgot it. I have never backed up the ipad or synced it to any computer.

I have dowloaded iBackupbot, have my ipad connected. If I am reading all the posts and instructions correctly, I should now go to Itunes and backup the ipad. When I connect to itunes and try to backup it tells me the passcode has to be entered 1st. well... thats the problem. I don't remember it! I see there is a backup button on Ibackupbot. Am I suppose to back up from there? I am lost! I see the information I am suppose to copy from the directions and replace when the time comes to it, but i don't know how to back the information up in the first place, so i can change the codes in backup inside ibackupbot. Could someone please help me figure this out, before I go crazy. If you don't mind walk me thru the steps of getting the information backed up the first time, and then when I am in ibackup bot and looking at the Ipad information, which little information branch do I click on to input those codes from the previous posters?

Thanks so much in advance!

Unfortunately, if you have never backed up your iPad to either your computer or to iCloud and you forgot your passcode lock there is no way to recover the data on it. Not with iTunes, not with any 3rd party app. The phone is encrypted using strong encryption so without a "trusted" (meaning previously synced iTunes) decryption key your data is unrecoverable. If there were a way around the passcode lock there would be no point in having it and iPhones/iPads would not be approved for secure corporate or government use.

Lawrence, we're talking about the Restrictions passcode, not the phone lock. Edit: I see you were responding to someone else who got it wrong.

For anyone technically minded, you can simply decrypt your Restrictions passcode using this code:

No need to mess around with restores.

(Yes, as convinced as I was that my iPhone was bugged, it turned out I'd forgotten the code afterall.)
