Is isn't just one minor software glitch.

It is a constant battle to do basic things.

Try backing up your iPad lately?

Good luck finding any of your folders or playlists afterward. But you were warned with the cute little "do you want erase all music ... On this iPad" message. Like you have a choice if you want to back up your content somehow and not have to redownload 3,000 songs.

That has been a "glitch" now for years.

Apple. Doesn't. Care. About. Us. Anymore.

And right here is the problem...

"do you want erase all music ... On this iPad"

SYNCING your iPad is different than BACKING UP your iPad.

You can only SYNC your iPad to a single device. You pick your desktop / laptop you plan to sync with, and you stick with it. Your music collection is tied to that device.

You can BACKUP to any device you wish.

If you are getting the above message while you think you are backing it up, you're doing it wrong. You're syncing the device, which is not what you want.

If you are losing your music collection when you "backup", it's because you are SYNCING the device, and not syncing it to the same machine with which you originally paired it with.

I have two iPads in the house, 4 iPhones, and 3 MacBooks. NEVER have I experienced the nonsense you're talking about... you really should take the time to learn to use the thing correctly before crying "it's broken and I hate Apple" on the web.. haha.

"If one minor software glitch upset you to this point... you'll never last a week on an Android device. Those things are full of software issues, and need more maintenance than a Windows machine does."

That's a load of BS. I've been very happy with my Android Motorola Droid Maxx. Battery life over over 20 hours. Large, clear screen. Great speed and performance, and most all of the apps I was using on iOS.

And as far as Windows goes, Mac has become just as big a PITA. I've lost count of the number of Macs I'm asked to "fix."

At the end of the day, it's software, which is no more perfect than the human beings who write it. Pick the device that you like that does what you need and go with it. Don't get dragged into any technology "religious wars." 😀
