Any way to turn off iOS 7 navigation animations?

The zoom animations everywhere on the new iOS 7 are literally making me nauseous and giving me a headache. It's exactly how I used to get car sick if I tried to read in the car.

How do I turn them off? Do I have to revert to 6?

I went to the Apple store, I spoke to customer service, I even went as far as thinking about buying a Blackberry! It's making me so dizzy! I just took all my apps and put them all in folders and only left my text message app and then on the bottom you are allowed four apps, put important ones there. Move all other apps to another page and this way you don't have that 3D effect going on because there are no apps on your main page that move when you open and close. UGH! Thanks a lot APPLE!! How did none of the testers get sick?!

I've turned on BOLD TEXT and turned on REDUCE MOTION but for me it feels like more than just the zooms in and out... I'm getting sick just reading emails and texts or just glancing at the lock screen. It's intant nausea. The only thing I can think of is that it's something to do with refresh rate or frequency of the screen.

I thought I'd just get used to it but it has not subsided. I only hope I don't have to resort to backgrading to iOS 6 or worse, moving to a different brand of phone.

I think another reason that it is making me uncomfortable is because there is so much white space on some built in apps like safari, calendar, mail. There is also a lack of consistency between the brightness of apps - eg the Spotlight keyboard is a pleasant gray shade, but switch to safari and up zooms a bright white keyboard. I'm finding that it is just not a pleasurable visual experience

I had severe vertigo the minute I started using my ipad with ios 7. Lost the rest of the day to it... And not happy at all. It's the transition between the apps flying in and out. I can use it now limited time, AND ONLY if I close my eyes between apps. I guess the one good bright spot ( pun intended) is I now have to lower the screen to almost 50% to tolerate that and it might save battery life. Its a lovely upgrade but please let us control the between app transitions!!! Someone will have a seizure or something.. Bound to happen, because its way to active with led.

So today has been a total wash. I had to go home "sick" from work because of the intense nausea due to using my iphone with iOS 7.

Again, for me it's not just the zooming that makes me sick (although it does aggravate the nausea even more) but just using the interface as usual i.e. reading texts, e-mail, switching apps, etc. makes me terribly and uncomfortabley ill after a minute or two.

This is unacceptable as I use my phone a lot throughout the day.

At this point I have no choice but to downgrade back to the previous iOS.

At first I thought it was just the zoom animations and filed a bug report with Apple over a month ago about it - no response. Now I think it's a more general issue with text rendering.

Please contact Apple and let them know you're suffering. The more people who complain, the better the chance that it will get fixed.

I had to downgrade as well because I couldn't stand it anymore.

Same here! So sick for the last three days. SO DIZZY. I thought I was going to pass out today! I could not downgrade from iOS 7 back to 6.1.3 without messing my phone up. I ended up running over to Verizon and I got a brand new iPhone 4s that has the 6.1.3 (but they only had the 16GB) and I WILL NEVER upgrade this phone (cost was about 80.00) until I know the entire issue is fixed!

There is something in the iOS 7 other than the 3D moving apps because I moved all my apps to a different page ONLY leaving one app on my main page and I STILL got so dizzy.

How many people with seizure disorders ended up in the hospital today and will eventually figure out it came from their Apple iOS 7 version?!

+1 for dizziness and nausea here, too. Called support earlier today and they told me it couldn't be turned off - the rep I spoke with was very pleasant, but didn't get anywhere with it. A "Classic Animations" option would be fantastic!

I've been having no luck downgrading, either. Seriously disappointed - I don't want to go back to my old Blackberry brick, but if it's that or constant nausea... 😟
