Any way to turn off iOS 7 navigation animations?

The zoom animations everywhere on the new iOS 7 are literally making me nauseous and giving me a headache. It's exactly how I used to get car sick if I tried to read in the car.

How do I turn them off? Do I have to revert to 6?

I just spoke with an Apple Care advisor to request a refund of the $100 I paid in the past few days to renew iCloud for a year. After that was handled, I told her about my issues with iOS 7 (nausea and dizziness) and asked if they are going to be providing a fix. She told me that I'm not the only person who has complained (I suspect that's an understatement) and said to "bear with us" and that Apple will be pushing updates; "each update will make the bugs better." At least it sounds like they're taking the complaints to heart; I don't know if their "solution" will be too little, too late to keep some of us from jumping ship. I can't keep up the constant looking away every time I change apps.

"Hard to be sure without proper analysis (there is software for that, though not freely available), and it's not necessarily the fact that the colour scheme is bright. But yes, it's likely to be the colour scheme combined with the frequency content. After all, that's the main thing that changed w.r.t. iOS 6 when you look at static images. I posted a link to research on visual stress a while back."

I think we have a contest here "Who can produce more genius posts within a week"

It has nothing to do with colors. It's ******** slow animations with zoom going all over the place and everything related to that.

Did you even read this thread?

Since the update I no longer use the ipad, because I have no desire to use it. It's not fun. Too much movement in the short distance. ios7 is certainly very good for the smartphone. But not for the ipad.

I have less problems with my Ipad 2 than Iphone. I think on the bigger screen my eyes can't watch all the animation, so less sick

As i said in a earlier post, i cant see how this is Apple fault, and their fault alone,. Doing a serch, it seems as if the most complaints are coming in on this thread, and to the Apple Discussoion boards mainly, but instead of putting the "Blame" on someone try and fix the problem yourself. And it only seems to be a handfulI of people of the 9 000 000 5S that where sold, and the 500 000 000 people that have downloaded the OS, so complaining here, isnt going to get them to change it, but they might add a on/off switch.

TattooedMac, that's all that most of us are asking for, an option to disable the app zooming animation.

I had problems with nausea and headaches the first few days. But ever since, I've been looking away from the screen or closing my eyes when unlocking and opening/closing apps, so I don't see the zooming animations. I then use my phone normally, all day long. My headaches have since gone away...

I'm not "blaming" Apple for anything. I am hopeful that our message is getting across and they will implement an option soon.

In terms of percentages, it probably doesn't affect a large portion of the users. Nobody ever claimed that this was a massive problem affecting most users. Most people will have no problems. But even if only 1 to 5% of the 500 million IOS 7 users worldwide had some issues with the app zooming animation, you're still talking about tens of millions of people.

I have NEVER written about any product or been unhappy with Apple in any way....until now. I have purchased and own 5 ipads 5 iphones 3 laptops and 4 desktops in the past 2 years for my family. I am SO unhappy and feeling sick from OS7 that I am trying to figure out how to sell all my Apple products and go elsewhere. This is not a matter of just not likeing the update. Nor is it a question of my not knowing how to use things and getting frustrated. OS7 is making me sick. Litterally. There is no way I can use these divices any longer. My children are having the same problems and I can not let them get sick either. This is rediculous, thoughtless, and a horrible business move to say the least. I have been a loyal Apple customer for 10 years. No matter what anyone ever said about Apple good or bad, I was happy and NEVER NEVER complained. I loved being an Apple customer. I was proud to be an Apple customer. If they do not fix this fast I dont care what it costs me I will give it all up. I have no other choice. My family can't walk around sick all day or dreading using thier Apple divice all day while Apple takes thier time to realize they really made a mistake and does something about it. This is truly a shame.

It is certainly not good. Having only used it on an iphone, the zooming that never goes away is awful. I can imagine it would be much worse on the iPad, though.

Well, in general I really don't like this new coloristic. White-Gray interface makes me cry....White and bright like **** and trully ugly.....In the middle of night, no matter how low brightnes I set it doesn't matter.....And those animations....Is it so hard to give TO USERS, TO US some themes to choose ??? On such great piece of equipment, like iphone I have only one, bright white ugly ****...And very often animation loose frames to.....

Some new functions ok, great, but in general new OS is ****. I feal I have some Android, but Android give you choise about coloristic at least, so conclusion is it's worse that Android....
