Any way to turn off iOS 7 navigation animations?

The zoom animations everywhere on the new iOS 7 are literally making me nauseous and giving me a headache. It's exactly how I used to get car sick if I tried to read in the car.

How do I turn them off? Do I have to revert to 6?

The whole iOS 7.0.2 is a big mistake I would say. I totally agree about the zoom animations and that the system visually is too bright with all these white backgrounds in the standard apps. The list of dissapionting and bad features is long. I posted a serious comment on what I think about the iOS 7 here on the forum, but it was deleted by Apple just after secounds because accoring to Apple, quote: "it contained feedback or feature requests. These areas are intended to address technical issues about Apple products. Although your feedback is appreciated, unfortunately these forums are not designed for it and your thoughts/concerns will not get the attention they deserve."

So, is´nt the questions on this page feedback or feature requests? Where does the line go between feedback /feature requests and technical issues? Is some feedback best kept secret and hiddden? Does Apple need a closed feedback system? If so, why?

"I can't believe someone when testing iOS 7 didn't say, "Hey, this animation makes me nauseous." I find that incredible." Just have to comment on that. When I see all the mistakes and bad choices that is made in the iOS 7 I realize that we are not looking at Apple as it was. This is the new Apple, with new designers, new and different thoughts and new core values. It seems you can no longer trust Apple as it was. Seems like we just have to realize that we can no longer expect Apple to be what it was under Jobs.

I agree completely, IOS 7 has ruined my phone. It is now worthless.

When I look at the phone it frustrates me. The menus frustrate me.

I can not stand to use this. Not only are the colors disgusting me, but there's a band top and bottom limiting the view size on my screen in most screens now.

It's also nauseating.

I feel like we've gone from a nice GUI interface which I loved, onto this childlike annoying whiteout menu system which just bugs me.

I own four iphones at the moment. One 4, and three 4S. They will now all go on ebay.

And I will promptly go out and buy phones which use another OS, just so you know Apple.

I am extremely upset, because I have about $200 in apps as well, which I will now never get to use again when I migrate to the new system.

I really hope someone at Apple take notice of this, because I am convinced many people will do what I do. I can not stand ios7, and whoever thought it up should be fired from his job. I can see Apple going bust over this. This is as bad a mistake as Windows ME, and reduces the iphone to a worthless brick!

I'm sorry Apple, but you have lost me forever unless you quickly revert to the previous GUI format such as that of 6.1.3 ios!!!

I agree. This iphone 5 is currently worthless and unusable for me. and for those of you saying, well, great, this gives me a chance to use my ohone/pad/pod less...are you crazy? You paid good money for a device that you should use as you like. That kind of passivity will only encourage a manufacturer and provider of goods and services to not bother fixing the problem.

As for the future of Apple? For me personally, this has been a massive let-down. After this experience, I have no problem with looking into what Android has to offer. And, as things currently stand, I'm slightly jealous when I see someone pull out a Samsung Galaxy.

This must be how Blackberry users felt around 2009.

I'll be looking into Android too.

After owning a iPhone and an Ipad I was seriously considering a mini. Not any more.

Nerver again an Apple product as far as I concerned. The Apple is rotten.

Not having a working reminder app is enough reason for me to walk away as it is the cornerstone of how I organise my day.

The boss of Apple said the company will not compete in the 'junk' segment of the market following criticism of the cost of the new iPhone.

Chief executive Tim Cook told Bloomberg Businessweek: 'There's always a large junk part of the market. We're not in the junk business'.

He said Apple had never set out to manufacture a low-cost phone but wanted to 'sell a great phone and provide a great experience, and we figured out a way to do it at a lower cost.'

He said: 'There's a segment of the market that really wants a product that does a lot for them, and I want to compete like crazy for those customers.'

Unfortunately, this is not true ....

After iOS7 my iPhone 4 no longer does "a lot" for me. Very little on the contrary.

iOS 7 made that pricey hardware another piece of junk in the market.

You are not competing "for those customers" but hurting them.

I need to add my voice to the dissenters here.

The App zooming is horrid. The first day on IOS7 I had to go home and lie down in a darkened room I felt so sick. On the home screen not only do the apps zoom in but they change speed. Following something both moving and changing speed is disorienting.

But my big fear is that apple may fix this with a disabling option, but ignore the myriad of other ill judged alterations that are causing me so much eye strain and headaches that my phone is barely usable now.

just a few examples.

1. The lock screen slowly fades in, WHY?, 1970's TVs used to do that. I find it an eye strain adjusting to this fade.

2.All the redesigned apps are harder to distinguish apart from 'photos'. POINTLESS.

3.White backgrounds are awful, texting is now positively unpleasant. The blue and green text ballons fade in colour as they go up the screen.WHY???.When reading through old texts my eyes are constantly adjusing to this fade.

4. The screen in generall is causing me eye strain it used to look hard and clear on IOS6 now it has a soft flicker like a faulty flourescent tube. My feeling is that the screen refresh rate is reduced [what do I know !], something's different anyway.

5.Thin illegible text everwhere.

2 weeks ago I was telling a friend who's new to Apple how much I loved my phone as it was a perfect piece of pocket sized, usable, functional, technology that really enhanced my life.

Alas no more, all ruined by a fashionable design ideal that has little to do with functionality or accesability.

This option does NOT work anymore. I tried doing it with in 2 days that I updated and Apple isn't letting it come thru to iTunes. So for now there is no way to go back. The files give you an error. I am going to call my Service provider and tell them something is wrong with my phone. Hopefully they have one that hasn't been updated and I can exchange it.

I sit here with my iPhone and iPad at times and cannot even look and use them. The iPad is far worse than the iPhone but both make me have migraines. I have tried to change the colors from white on grey, tried adjusting the font size and still doesn't help. Spend good money and its gone to crap!!!

Guys - Voicing our concerns here is valuable and worthwhile, but be sure you're also sending your comments in the feedback section.

THAT is how to get your voice heard best. (or switching out of the apple product environment)

Frankly, the strongest weapon we have is when a Jimmy Kimmel mocks the re-design on national TV. The more we complain, the more the national stage and media will note.

Me? I want to use my phone without a sense of dread.

But aside from that, look at the previous keypad. The previous design you could argue was "classic". This? Not only do you not really have a sense where the eye should focus, C'mon...it's trendy. And trends constantly change - so they'd have to redesign this garish monstrosity within a year or two anyway.

As designs go, why not let the user have a choice? My Kindle lets me pick the fonts I want...why shouldn't your iPhone?User uploaded file

This is my first time ever posting on an Apple Support Community and I have had an iphone for years-but I just had to say something. Just downloaded ios7 on Monday and have been nauseous ever since...today is Thursday. Almost threw up yesterday. Have an iPhone 4 and don't have the option to "Reduce Motion". Both my wife and I absolutely hate the ios7 upgrade and we can't go back to ios6. It's like a 3 year old designed it, it looks cheap and as I said, it makes us nauseous. Let's be honest, ios7 is a disaster. It's a downgrade, not upgrade. Very seriousely considering dumping the iPhone which we have absolutely loved through ios6. Never thought I would have to switch phones due to nausea. Or maybe I can take some medication? Come on Man! Very, very disappointed with Apple.

Any way to turn off iOS 7 navigation animations?
