Any way to turn off iOS 7 navigation animations?

The zoom animations everywhere on the new iOS 7 are literally making me nauseous and giving me a headache. It's exactly how I used to get car sick if I tried to read in the car.

How do I turn them off? Do I have to revert to 6?

Oh my goodness! I thought it was just me... I had no idea it was iOS 7 causing this!?

I play online games, i've been doing so for many years. Just 3 days ago, I don't know what happened but my eyes suddenly started hurting so bad, and I got really bad headaches as well. I also felt nauseous. It was unbearable, so I thought it was my constant play of games which was causing this problem, which is weird because this has not been a problem for me in the past few years. So I limited the number of hours I played games online but I still had the same problem, even now! & I have not played games for a few hours now. But I HAVE used my phone. I just came across this issue of 'iOS 7 motion sickness' and now I'm afraid to use my phone 😟

I've had so many issues with Apple now, getting really frustrated! 😠

Apple needs to an option to turn off or disable parallax feature as it is giving me motion sickness. Reduce the Motion option does not seem to help the issue at all. And if this continues for the next few months or so I'm switching to Android or Windows phone period. Downgrading the iOS back to 6 would be enough of a hassle to swtich phones.

+1 on the dizziness and headaches front. I rarely have headaches, but have had one every day since I upgraded to ios7 except for last weekend...when I spent the day using my PC and doing some gardening...and yesterday...when I read a traditional magazine on the way to work for a change. It's so disappointing. I love my iPad. I bought it originally for listening to music and having my personal calendar, contacts list and todo list on the move (I have a company phone which can't be used for personal stuff). However, I now use it for moreorless everything. It had transformed my life. I am really hoping Apple can sort this out quickly.

Though I'm still experiencing pretty severe symptoms from using my phone and have had no luck downgrading, here are a few things that have partially helped.

1. Turn off the Parallax effect

2. Increase the contrast

3. Increase fonts and boldness

4. Put all of your apps (at least on the home screen) into one or two folders. It might be annoying, but it reduces the flying in of apps when you unlock your phone.

5. Look away from the phone any time you open or close an application

Yes, it's a pain in the butt and does very little to help symptoms but any bit of relief is nice.

The reduce motion turns off the parallax feature. You must be just complaining to complain.

My Genius was aware at the NJ Bridgewater store, but said they could not do anything about it. Interestingly, it's not a hardware speed issue, as the slowness of whizz and zoom, was the same on an iPhone 4 as on a 5. So the timing of the zoom must be software based, as the faster chip on the 5 did not speed up the slow zoom.

I'm not sick, nauseous, physically, or mentally distressed, but just annoyed at the extra lag, awful fonts, obscene colors, hard to read, and useless playfulness of the device geared to games, video and music.

Saturday is the big switch for me and the family's extra lines. We'll see what 13 mega pixels look like!. iOS7 timed with my 2yr upgrade option.

We'll see. I can't imagine 7.0.3 will resolve anything, nor 7.1. It's like dBase, Visicalc, Lotus 123, Wordstar, Wordperfect, IBM's PS/2, et al. all over again.

Why do you feel the need to troll? Look through this entire thread. The reduce motion feature cuts back on the floating icons but not the zoom transition when you open and close apps, which is what EVERYONE here is complaining about and is saying is causing the isse. If you weren't in such a rush to say we're all making this up, perhaps you would have caught that.

We are not "complaining just to complain". But you sure are trolling just to troll.
