I am having the same issue. I am stuck in the recover loop with a 1669 error mesage. I even tried to install a 6.1.3 ipsw and I still got the same 1669 error. I wonder if it is an Itunes issue.

Same here...my 64gb iphone 5 is now useless...so sad 😟

I have been told that this is a water damage issue. I did have water damage on my phone prior to the upgrade. Apparently once the upgrade determines that there is an issue with the chip it sends into recovery mode forever...

I jus connected to my itunes again today and started to do a facotry reset and it solved the issue.. Luckily it did not hang halfway and did not show that error message 1669.. As I did all my backups last night before this problem, I restored from backup after the factory reset so now my iphone is back to normal..

I too have stuck on error 1669 issue. I did notice a tiny red dot which I'm guessing means I have water damage. I'm trying to see if there's a connection between this error and the water damage. The Iphone turns on fine but just stuck on the connect to itunes screen. Very frustrating!

Any of you who have this error also have the red dot?
