To delete a city in the weather app, swipe Right to Left - it will open a dialog that will allow you to delete a city.

After hammering away at all of these great suggestions, I believe when the locations services are turned on they will always default to the location that is recieved by your phone. You can add and delete cities as needed but you cannot delete the city your system defaults to. Everytime you turn off location services you can clear it out but when you turn your location services back on it will return. You can leave your location services turned off if you don't want your deleted cities poping back up but that will negate the whole reason of having location services for other purposes. It is not a malfunction, it is the nature of the beast!

This was seriously the only response that helped me. Seeing as you don't start out on the screen with the faint lines, saying that you hit those first before swiping left to right would have been nice.

1. Open the app.

2. Tap bottom right corner to bring up list of cities/locations.

3. Swipe from right to left on the city/location you want to delete.

COUNTERINTUITIVE AS ALL ****. ONE MORE REASON I REALLY REALLY DON'T WANT TO BE AN APPLE CUSTOMER ANYMORE.

Things like this, smaller 'buttons' text to tap, bad 'improvements' to the maps app, longer zoom times when Apple felt like including a graphical flourish before I can get something accomplished, an inability to comprehend that not every single border on the phone needs to activate a swipe menu, taking away my double-click to activate music when locked ability (yeah that menu can go to ****), and an inability to turn the phone upside down when reading... ugh. Bad update.

Thanks so much ! Got 'er done ! Took me a couple of minutes to figure out that I had to first get the list of cities that I'd saved by clicking on the little icon in the bottom right of the screen and THEN swipe from right to left on the particular cities that I wanted to delete to reveal the red DELETE button . . .

Thanks a bunch . . . and I'm sure that my 30-year-old son (my I.T. man) would thank you, too . . . if he knew that you'd helped me to help myself . . . instead of always calling on HIM ! hahahah !

Have a GREAT day !
