New iOS 7 hurts my eyes. How do I switch it back?

Really regretting ios7. Horrible on the eyes. Is there a way to uninstall?

Agree with OP.

I've waited a long time, hoping to like the iOS7 design, but I still hate it just as much as the day I updated from iOS6. It's quite sad.

I used to like my iPad - the design was sophisticated, defined. Interface elements were deliniated better, the visual segmentation of borders, shadows and glass effects - they successfully gave depth to an otherwise dead flat screen. The depth and solid icon design helps our eyes scan a page and work out the compartmental differences between groups of interface functions. iOS7 design has a much less helpful design for scanning a screen, our brains have to work harder at remembering where things are found because everything bleeds into everything else.

iOS7 design will eventually go down in history as a mistake, when more people realise that this "minimal, bright white" so called "uncluttered" design that the tech giants are obsessed with, requires sun glasses or very reduced brightness to be comfortable. And looks like a 12 yo girl's diary scribbles.

I know my iPad belongs to Apple, and that I shouldn't complain about something that I don't own or control, but I really miss the iOS6 interface and general design. My enjoyment of the iPad has been reduced, and I would really like a way to get control back over a fundamental element I feel was rudely ripped away with this heavily persuaded iOS 7 update. Why couldn't I keep iOS6 design and skins? Makes no sense to deny interface style choices to users.

I fully agree with android351. I hate my iPad now. That hasn't changed or dimmed over time. It still hurts my eyes, and I miss the friendly interface of iOS6. I rarely use my iPad anymore, and certainly wouldn't upgrade my Ipad2 to an Ipad3. What's the point?

My iPhone was force upgraded to iOS7 at the store, as I broke the screen and needed a replacement. I have dimmed it all the way down, and it still gives me eye strain and headaches, which the old iOS6 did not.

Inverting colors does not help with either the iPad or the iPhone, and I refuse to update my Mac Pro to Maverick, as I am terrified that Apple will make me hate that, too.

Come on, Apple. Bring back the old interface/design as an option. Let us love our IPads and iPhones again.

Completely agree with you Android351. Seems like the new Apple model is to dumb down their interfaces to a 5th or 6th grade level of comprehension. Complaining to Apple is like spitting in the wind. Makes you wonder if anyone even cares that Apple, the once king of the graphic interface, is willing to let Google and others ascend to the throne.
