Updating to iTunes 11.1 gave me a lot of disk permissions errors

As I posted in a similar discussion a couple of minutes ago, Well, let's see,, now that Mavericks is out, whether after your update we still see that mess in the Permissions area. I hunch is that you will still see it there. Anyone updating to Mavericks,, can you please report on this issue as a favour to this post thanks. I am waiting for perhaps a week to update.

It still happens in Mavericks.

Likely it will need an iTunes update.

But since the permissions errors are not a problem...

iTunes 11.1.2 was just made available.

iTunes 11.1.2 did not resolve the Disk Permissions errors. I am still on Mountain Lion.

😠 free Mavericks upgrade + itune upgrade...... still no resolve on disk permissions issue!!! i will try a clean install and c what happen.......sorry i am wrong, it did resolve the disk permission issue after repair.........

iTunes 11.1.3 update just resolved my permission errors after installing and running permissions repair in disk utility.

Updating iTunes to 11.1.3 has not solved the issue for me. I'm still getting a long list of ".lproj" differences that won't repair…and I'm now also getting a "

Warning: SUID file 'System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent' has been modified and will not be repaired."

The warning I know is new because I check permissions monthly before a manual secondary backup. "Warning" sounds worse than "permissions differ," but at least Apple lists it is as ignorable (unlike the ".lproj" permission differences, as far as I've found in their online KBs).

@Substantiated, is your Mac running Mountain Lion or Mavericks? Perhaps that makes a difference (I've been waiting to update to 10.9). Thank you.

I am running OS X 10.9 (13A603) without a hitch on a late 2011 MacBook Pro. Good luck.

harmless these permissions may be but I too have them and cannot correct them with Itunes 11.1.3(8) and Maverick.

I also have frequent problems with Sonos not being able to access music library. Sonos's response is to correct the disk permissions and when they can't be they tell me to contact Apple!

There's a hole in my bucket............

Have you booted from yoru Recovery Partition and ran Disk Repair and repair permissions?

yes I did this under instruction from Apple at one stage

I have had similar problems with the disk repairs and every few days I have to repair them or my machine slows to a crawl! I can't do anything until I repair permissions. People say that that isn't an issue but apparently this is a problem.
