iTunes lists every episode of a podcast. Can't delete cloud listing.

Since downloading iTunes 11.1.0.126, when I display my podcasts in a LIST, it displays every episode from that podcast I'm subscribed to. With the option to redownload it.

This is terrible, because most podcasts have hundreds of old episodes. The majority of which I'd like to clear of my screen and never listen again.

But now I can't simply hit DELETE on my keyboard.

Help. Thanks.

Some have suggested just not going to the list "tab" to see all the "cloudcasts" but you have to go to the "list" in order to refresh the podcasts to get the latest casts available...only in list is this available...another crappy bug...

For all the hoopla you'd think the idiots would have seen this and corrected the problems long before the release. These are not small, hidden bugs but right out there staring us in the face.

This isn't just a Windows problem. I am an Apple user and I just upgraded 2 days ago. Now my iTunes Podcast list is Broken. I have podcasts "in the cloud" that I cannot delete from my list. I cannot "hide" them or Delete them, and if I listen to a podcast and delete, it is instantly replaced by the same episode in its "cloud" form. PLEASE FIX THIS BUG! me no likey. :-(

Gail from Maine. I like your answer but I cannot find anything about music in the Cloud when I look under View. Actually, I think I saw it once but then I've never found it again. I am running 10.6.8 because I still love the features of Eudora (in between its frequent crashes). Maybe you are using a later version of the Mac OS. Anyway, I cannot follow your instructions with my versions of the Mac OS and iTunes 11.1 (I26).

I've looked for your solution under both List view and My Podcasts. It isn't there.

Is there a Cloud view that I am missing?

Gail from Maine. Is the photo of a Maine Coon Cat? My grandfather had one. Mean. One man only. Certainly didn't like me. But most cats don't like 6 year olds as a matter of self preservation.

Your answer works fine for Music but it doesn't work for Podcasts. When looking at Podcasts, there is nothing under the View menu to hide or show Podcasts in the Cloud.

I read all the messages on this theme and discovered that I could indeed Hide and Show Music in the Cloud when I have Music selected but the option goes away when I have Podcasts selected. I think this likely not a PC versus Mac issue nor a which version of the Mac OS you are running but rather a design change that Apple made with the version of iTunes that we are all discussing.

But your comments and those of others did lead me to better understand what was going on.

I would love for Apple to restore the ability to Hide Podcasts in the Cloud to work like Hide Music in the Cloud.

iTunes lists every episode of a podcast. Can't delete cloud listing.
