Since downloading iTunes 11.1.0.126, when I display my podcasts in a LIST, it displays every episode from that podcast I'm subscribed to. With the option to redownload it.
This is terrible, because most podcasts have hundreds of old episodes. The majority of which I'd like to clear of my screen and never listen again.
But now I can't simply hit DELETE on my keyboard.

The folder, or the library? Rolling back the library should be easy enough, but if files have gone from the hard drive that is altogether more difficult to deal with. You have a backup?

Files gone from the hard drive. Some really old ones. Luckily I have Carbonite so I'm running a restore on the iTunes folder. Sigh. It is such beautiful weather - I wanted to be outside. Waah.
Oh well, I should know computers only behave well when it is rainy and cold. LOL.
I'll just use Media player until Apple gets its act together in the cloud. Hopefully they beta test the next rollout even if it does cost them a little more.
Time for ABBA with the volume pumped up. 😝

There is no hide music in cloud that I can see, is it in a sub menu somewhere I can't find?
Ignore this, went throught thread. Podcast list is broken in new version that my updated ipod touch required me to upgrade to.

I sent feedback on Sep 18, the day the new release came out. First run, iTunes 11.01.126 started downloading 682 podcasts. There are frequent lockups, forever download times, download times increasing, etc. Good job Apple. Since it doesn't appear this will be fixed anytime soon, can we rollback to the previous version?
How will we know when this is fixed? I don't want another disaster downloaded unless I know it fixes this. Didn't the last new release come with a bunch of bugs.
I think I'll run out and get the new iPhone. NOT.

It may be an iTunes for Windows discussion, but exactly the same is happening with iTunes for Mac...
No solution in sight as far as I can see - it seems no one, apart from the developers at Apple understand how this new improved iTunes / Podcasts App / iCloud relationship is supposed to work. turingtest2 is doing a pretty good job in guiding people through the troubleshooting process, but apart from that...
i've tried rolling back both iTunes and iOS, but short of a jailbreak, it's pretty much impossible.
I even went to an Apple Reseller (there is no Apple Store in Dubai...) who checked my phone and said the iOS7 update was not compatible with my phone (iPhone 4)!
Let's hope we can all recover our lost podcasts, and hold them in limbo until Apple releases the next working iTunes!!!

iOS 7 runs just fine on my iPhone 4. Rolling back to iOS 6 once upgraded is not an option. Fingers crossed for a new build before too long.

iTunes 11.1.1 just has been released and FIXES the problem!!!!!!
Oh, finally!!!! AFTER I have mastered the gpodder/windows mediaplayer combination. Gpodder actually has some nice features that itunes does not - so I'm rather conflicted about which to use mostly from now on. It is nice to know that there is at least one other workable solution out there if/when iTunes blows up again.GPodder is particularly polite towards the user with data caps - it lets you choose which new episodes you really want to download instead of just assuming you want all the recent episodes of one's podcasts. Apple could take a lesson from them on proper programmer/user etiquette.
Apple should really should pay the penalty for my data cap overage with Suddenlink this month...grumble grumble.
It would be nice if Apple would just post when they have made an oopsie and that they expect to have it fixed in x days rather than having us all wasting our time trying to fix something that is not broken at our end of the problem. Again, a matter of etiquette. Good manners are always appreciated and remembered.
Oh well, better late than never. I missed my ipod (gPodder does not yet sync with an ipod though gPodder does sync with numerous other devices)
Sorry.. I spoke too soon... not all the problems have been fixed with downloads you can't delete.
So beware - it is still buggy - just different bugs but still downloading some podcasts episodes you have deleted or tried to stop in some way. The default should be for the user to decide which new episodes they want downloaded before any update process begins but after the new list of what is now available can be seen. .
Back to GPodder for now I guess. I will only use iTunes for things I want on my ipod - I'll unsubscribe to anything else and listen or watch them on Gpodder instead. I don't have more time to figure out why only some podcasts now misbehave.
Apple just has no respect for those of us on data caps. We have no choice in the matter so it is quite insensitive to organiza cloud coverage this way. It is a big difference to go from 24GB/day with iTunes to 3 GB/day with GPodder.
Just installed iTune 11.1.1.11, and this appears to be fixed.
It seems that everything has been fixed on my end.

iTunes lists every episode of a podcast. Can't delete cloud listing.
