iOS 7 Freezing While typing

Thanks viper33ashes! I tried your solution a week ago, and it is still working well. HOWEVER, adding to what you said, About 10 minutes later I went back to the Setting->iCloud->Documents and Data and reinabled it. To my relief, the problem did not come back.

I am having the same problem. What a joke. I am losing confidence very quickly in Apple. Obviously this Ios7 has not be properly tested before it was released to the world. Valued customers like me have no choice but to explore options. If this continues I will have no choice but to try Samsung. I have held out for ten years but I think the time is near.

I have the same problem after updating my iPhone to iOS7. An Apple Store agent today said it is due to an error unique to my operating system and that only a few other users have this problem. He said that if the phone is wiped and restored from my backup it will only replicate the problem back onto my phone. His solution was that I need to back up my phone in a way other than how it backs up automatically via iTunes onto my PC. I have no idea how to do that. I can’t imagine that a few users are expected to go through a backup process outside of the designed automatic backup. I’m only moderately tech savvy, so I’m not comfortable trying some of the solutions mentioned in this thread. But I’ll keep reading and hope Apple fixes it soon since it’s obviously not unique to me. Just checking: how many of the people experiencing this issue have gone past their iCloud limit?

I think only my photos are on iCloud. My iCloud backup setting is off and is set only for photos. My phone says 5.0 GB total and 5.0 GB available.

Typing is not the only time it freezes. It also freezes playing games, during calls and Facetime, and while listening to podcasts in a player and in the car.

The freezing did not happen until a few days after my initial iOS7 upgrade 3½ weeks ago. After I reset my phone last weekend the phone was back to working normally for a few days, but then it began to freeze again. It also continually disconnects from my car and I cannot listen to podcasts and music for an entire commute without unplugging and re-plugging in the usb. I try many random solutions because the same ones don’t work all the time. Sometimes nothing works until the next time I start my car.

Mine is still freezing after resetting and leaving the passcode off. The typerwriter shows up with the phone rotated 90 but freezes when upright. Help.

I have a pure number passcode (always have) and my iphone 5 freezes about 1-2/day it seems. I am a heavy user.

That's pretty much my exact experience, also. Frustrating.

My iphone5 hangs frequently after ios7 software update... What can i do to nullify this problem?? i have restored several times but no use...

10 days ago my iPhone 4 suddenly stopped freezing. It also stopped disconnecting in my car while listening to podcasts to the point where I was unplugging it and plugging it back in multiple times during a drive or just listening through the phone speaker. It was nothing I consciously did, but I was required to upgrade my company’s Mobile Iron exchange server app that day. So either that removed the glitch or Apple coincidently pushed something out at the same time. I’m not savvy enough to know how this happened, but maybe this info will help someone else who is. And I’m hoping that with over a week of my phone working again this post won’t jinx it. The battery still drains quicker than before, but I’ve done all I can to mitigate that. I’m just happy to have a working phone. Good luck to those of you trying to figure this out.

I am facing issue of lock screen Freeze on iphone 5C, any fix for that?

Good morning, I have an iPhone 5s 64GB for a couple of days, and the passed two days it freezes, while playing or between apps, it freezes and no response from the phone neither from the touch screen nor home button nor sleep button.. so I press sleep button along with the home button so it restarts.. is this normal? what do I have to do..

I'm on an iPhone 5 that's been upgraded to latest IOS 7 patchset and my screen freezes regularly ... but only when I'm plugged into the charger. Darnest thing.
