STP Presets...THE REAL1

This seems to be the rage, if Software Update doesn't find it here's the link on the STP support page for the new presets update v1.0 (recomended for all users). muZAK

Muzak,

I was a little confused because in the other posting you had mentioned STP [Presets v1.1). I recently installed STP 1.0.3 and when I did a software update after installing STP 1.0.3 it downloaded a installer package named SoundtrackProPresets.pkg which is about 1 MB in size. I believe that is the link that you had listed in this posting ( http://www.apple.com/support/soundtrackpro/) and the download is listed on the right (Soundtrack Pro 1.0 Presets Update). Is this what you were talking about? And as far as the crossgrade, you are correct. That is the only way to update STP and like you I plan on picking up that crossgrade offer to Final Cut Studio.

I think that perhaps intel users are starting at v. 1.1 of Soundtrack Pro I read it somewhere on the A. site, and FCS is already at v. 1.1 which, obviously has the preset update, for STP.
But this is the presets, the first and only so far for stand alone. It sounds like you've got it Michael, hopefully this will clear up some confusion on this subject, apparently it addresses presets formatting.

Alright so we know Apple isn't quite the goddess in the sky, but to...stand alone gets you no satisfaction! I noticed the preset update, naturally assumed it was the next level, however that was just another big myth. Anyway we can probably rest assured as long as we own up the extra 2 we'll all get to that goddess level...eventually. http://www.apple.com/universal/crossgrade/
