One of the listed features of iOS 7 is "notification sync" which states that removing a notification off one device removes it from all. I can't get this working, any notification I clear on my iPad doesn't clear off my iPhone or vice-versa. Only apps that already did this in iOS 6, like the Gmail app do this.
Has anyone gotten notifications sync working?
iPhone 4S, iOS 7, AT&T 32 GB
It's still not working under iOS 8 Beta 4.
So when will we see this feature? With "Handoff" the notifications could alternatively sync via the non internet connection the devices share.
Having notification sync working only for iMessage is really rediculous. At least the stock Apps (e.g. iCloud Mail) should work.
Anyone got it working with an iCloud Mail Account?
I've played with different settings, etc. but haven't been successful getting notification sync to work with any of the stock apps like Mail. It only seems to remove the notifications after you launch the app or you receive more email on that particular device. Doesn't look like it's being addressed any time soon.
I'm having the exact same issue. Viewing an email on the iCloud website, Mac OS X Mail App, iPhone 5 (7.1.2), and iPad 3 (7.1.2) will not clear the notification off iOS. Notification and badge icon stays present until I clear it on each of my iOS devices. Very frustrating as this was an advertised feature that just does not work at all.
Notifications from my work's exchange server are automatically cleared off devices once I've checked it on any of my devices. Why can't Apple get iCloud to behave the same way? From what I recall, notifications were syncing fine when it was MobileMe (but I may be mistaken on that).
iCloud mail no longer syncs. Reading an email on one device doesn't automatically mark it as read on other devices like it used to.
i have seen notifications clear after awhile, but since the badge icons don't that's not particularly useful. I've also seemed notifications stop working for apps and then return after restarting the device.
