I deactivated icloud pictures on my iphones and ipads (4S,5,ipad2) and it now do not enter in reboot cycles anymore ....

But the ipads reboot daily at midnight (I must have IOS 7 Halloween version ....) !

I can't wait for Apple to fix these bugs. I am surprised that the numerous developper have not found those before .... Apple should get a real strategy for testing its software ... I will wait december before I upgrade my MACs .... I am not sure that I will upgrade the beautifully functioning mountain lion !

Cheers

Same issue... no doubt Apple is FULLY aware of this. And clearly they have no clue what is going on... since they have the Apple Stores still swapping out phones for this. APPLE - get cracking - it is enough to make poeple start to consider a Samsung!! And you are losing big bucks with "Geniuses" swapping phones to "fix" a software bug. Or did all of these iPhones actually just suddenly simultaneously start breaking coincidentally on the date of the new release? Really? C'mon Tim.

My iPhone 5 was freezing up about once a day since the upgrade to iOS7. I've been on the phone twice with AppleCare, plus one online chat with AppleCare, and have now restored twice. Next time it freezes up, I'm off to the Apple Store to get this phone replaced. I too think it's a software problem, but hey if they want to give me a new phone, who knows, maybe there was a problem with early iPhone 5 models that's been fixed.

My iPhone 5 has also been freezing often ever since installing iOS 7. It just happened again as I was attempting to unlock the phone right after I entered 2 of the 4 unlock code values. The phone was in its charging dock. It wouldn't accept any more unlock code values but did respond to pressing the power off button by blacking out the screen. It then wouldn't turn the screen back on, so my only recourse was to hold both buttons until the count of 13 when it finally shut down. After a minute I turned it back on and it restarted and is acting normally again for awhile. The phone has locked up with a black screen at least once a day since installing iOS 7. It eventually reboots itself if I don't go through the hassle of doing the above steps right away. Sure hope Apple can fix this soon! Also glad that I did a web search for "iOS 7 freeze" and found this discussion so I know that it's not just my iPhone 5 that is now acting this way!

Exactly the same thing happens to me about 4-5 times a day. It is the very same behavior you describe, up to and including the two digits of the passcode that I am able to enter before the lock screen freezes, the sleep button only turning the screen black. At times, when the phone is playing audio while locked, it still can be heard after the screen has frozen. Additionally, my phone sometimes freezes when accepting a call, while i "slide to accept".

There has to be some way to track down what causes this and fix it, if it is a software issue. If it is a hardware glitch, however, I wonder why everything worked on IOS 6. With iOS 6, I never experienced anything like this.

I am so tired of IOS7 issues. Its been long enough and my phone freezes all day long. I chose apple to begin with because the phone was always fast and problem free. Now weeks almost months later the same problems with iOS7 are still occuring. Fix it fast or I am jumping ship. Like this post if you are just as frusterated as I am. Maybe apple will see the numbers and get on the ball. I have a feeling Galaxy sales are about to sky rocket..

Well if my story not true, than Apple is in a big trouble now, because its means there are many Iphone 5s's are faulty and its more likely a hardware issue. My "first" I5s what I purchased from O2 on the 29th of September and updated to 7.0.2 the same day, had 3G issues in areas where my I4 was working fine before, and had a strange headphone jack problem(thats why Apple gave me a new one).

When I updated to 7002, all my apps were crashing, or had audio problems in skype, mobil voip or even voice recorder. It restarted itself like a crapy android phone, it was a nightmare.

Since I got the replacement, I left it as it comes(on 7.0), and I use it for 9 days now, it did not have any problem yet. I am extremly lucky, or ios7.0 works better than 7.0.2.🙂
