I know how to fix it

1.back up your phone.

2.plug it to iTunes

3.turn it to dfu mode search YouTube for how to do that.

4.a message should pop up

5. Click restore.

5.and get your back up back

I hope this helps cause that's what happens to my iphone and that's what I did just recover it using iTunes even if it's frozen I'm sending this through my phone so yeah I fixed my iphone with the same problem

Oh, well it seems many people know how to do this already. Well for anyone who doesn't know how to restart in this situation;

1. Connect your iphone to the computer with itunes using the charger.

2. Hold down home button and lock button for at least until the apple logo shows up.

The lock code should work after this and you should be able to unlock the iphone. I am not sure how long this will last/work or if the iphone will freeze again. This is just an explanation for anyone who wants a temporary fix.

I have heard of other ways to fix it but I'm not sure which is best or what other solutions could do.

By the way, your storage and memory should still be there.

I hope the freezing is a problem that can be fixed, but for now these solutions should have to do.

No solution, but here is my experience with Apple:

My freeze problems started sometime after the 7.04 update. Two days ago I went to the Apple store in Nashville. Their solution? "This is a hardware problem. Your phone is 72 days out of warranty. You must pay $269 to replace your phone. Your new phone, however, will only have a 90-day warranty, and may act up just as bad as the previous phone." I added that last part. They didn't really say that, but what else am I to think? This was not the solution I wanted to hear.

So I went across the street to Verizon. They said I should try a phone restore. Did that yesterday. The phone still freezes. So, now I have turned of Background App Refresh. Will wait to see if that "solves" it. But, like others here, I want full functionality. And I don't like that Apple so quickly decided I have an out-of-warranty hardware problem.

Another update: So I called Apple. They told me to Restore my phone, but this time don't restore apps, data, etc. Just leave the phone in factory condition and see what happens. So I did. And I have the same intermittent freeze problem as always. Could this be an OS problem, I asked. Oh no, if you have problems now, it is out-of-warranty hardware.

So, okay, what if it is hardware? And maybe what most of the posters in this thread are sweating over is actually failing hardware. Then I bought the most expensive piece of smartphone hardware on the planet for it to go bad in just over a year. To me, that says much worse things about Apple than an OS glitch that can/should be fixed in the next update. Makes me want to go out and buy the cheapest, most basic phone I can find. Because I already own a "throwaway." I'd rather pay $100 for a throwaway than buy a $500 throwaway.
