Try re-booting, switching the Safari settings, and then make sure you re-boot again. Good luck (it is frustrating).

My fix was logging into the Apple ID website at https://appleid.apple.com . After that, my iPhone and iTunes would allow me to login with my Apple ID as usual, download items, updates, etc.

But I not have ios 7 but I did not know how to get ios 7 :(

i turned on the automatic time and date and it worked.

Only thing that finally worked for me was wiping the phone completely and reinstalling everything as if it was a new iPhone. Wiping and restoring from a backup didn't do it.

To download apps to your new device go to settings/itunes and app store/ to 'automatically download music/apps'
